A Gift Is Not A Gift
He comes with love
Which brings us hope
Which turn to joy
Which offers peace.
Little Baby tucked away
In a manger full of hay,
It's hard to believe what You are.
A gift from above,
The gift of God's love
Who was born long ago for today.
But a gift is not a gift until it is received,
And a truth is not a truth until it is believed.
Little Baby small and frail,
Whose birth today we hail,
It's hard to believe who You are.
If only You had been a carpenter poor,
Who triumphed over life to become rich.
But instead You were a carpenter died poor,
That others like me might be rich.
But a gift is not a gift until it is received,
And a truth is not a truth until it is believed.
He came with love
Which brings us hope
Which turns to joy
Which offers peace.
