- You can sleep till 5 minuets before work starts.
- You can fold your laundry on break.
- You don't have to worry about packing a lunch, your kitchen is 10 feet away.
- You can take a shower during your lunch break.
- You save fuel and wear and tear on your car, cause it stays parked for days on end.
Disadvantages of living where you work:
- You boss can always find you. Always.
- You have no excuses for being late.
- To get away from work, you have to leave your house. So if you just want to chill, you have to find someone else's house to chill at.
- The subject of work comes up over dinner... And breakfast... And lunch.
- If you have a disagreement with a coworker (roommate) you really can't get away from them at the end of the day.
- Similarly, if you have a disagreement with your boss, you still have to go to their house for dinner, cause it's across the field, and you have no excuses except "i don't want to be around you cause i think you screwed up" which doesn't go over very well.
- Your boss knows everything about you. There is no privacy whatsoever. Consequently, you will have no social life at home that they aren't part of, know about, or randomly drop by to make sure you're behaving.
- Your boss can find you after your technically"off work" and "ask" you to work overtime... Which if you're not getting paid (like me) means that your whole evening just got shot.
