i really don't get all the hype about New Year's. People talk about it like it's a new start, or things are going to change all of a sudden. The number on the calender changes, but that's all. Life doesn't change. Nothing is different.
i don't get "new year's resolutions" either. If something needs changed, change it now. Don't wait for January 1st.
However, i love the parties!! i went to First Night with some people from my church, and we had a great time!! It was really cold, but still really fun!! We saw an improve comedy group, went rock climbing, hung out in a science museum, went ice skating, and watched fireworks at midnight. i had a great time! But i would have had as much fun whether it was December 31st or July 17th.
i guess to me the whole new year thing isn't really whats important. i lived thru another year, i had a great night with my friends. That's what matters.
